Introduction

Oh, the many faces of God. God the Redeemer, God the Deliverer, God the Divine Musician. We forget that God is not only loving, kind and forgiving, but also FUN! He loves to play with His beloved children.

God rejoices over individuals and nations who repent of sin and cast themselves on His mercy. It is the joyful should of redemption and deliverance. Psalm 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” God will instruct us in all things needful and one He will surely teach us is how to sing His song of redemption and deliverance.

In response, Zephaniah 3:17 tells us “The Lord you God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will exult over you with loud singing” and in Psalm 32, verse 7b, “You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”

God rejoices in us!!!!!!! Now, that’s an awesome God!

Activation

Begin by walking people through the steps of the activation

  • This activation is for 25+ people because it requires 16 people as “props” to get the full effect.
  • There will be 8 pairs of participants holding the flags by the colors mentioned above in the props section, standing across from each other in a long row.
  • Have each of the remaining participants start approaching the two rows of flags. I would have each person kneel down just before they enter the rows of flags to repent of something on his/her heart. As soon as they have repented, they will begin joyfully dancing under the flags, praising and worshipping the God of great mercy. At the same time, the flaggers will exuberantly wave the flags, which represent the faces of God, over the person. This will be a representation of Psalm 32:7, “You dance over me with joyful shouts of triumph” and Zephaniah 3:17 “He will rejoice over you with gladness….He will exult over you with loud singing.
